The Agadir Mag take

L’Ardoise Gourmande reads like a restaurant where the owners actually care—and their staff feel it. Every review praises the same thing: attentiveness that reads as genuine, not performed. The owner works the room. Waiters listen. If you want conversation, you get it; if you want silence, they respect that.

On food, the consensus is sharp. Duck leg, entrecôte, scallops with black garlic, oysters, a chèvre salad worth sharing—these are executed well enough that diners compare them favourably to Michelin places. One reviewer mentioned wanting more seasoning, which is honest noise in an otherwise glowing signal. The amuse-bouche of local sardines is a small touch that suggests someone’s thinking about place.

It’s on Boulevard Hassan II, moderately priced by Agadir standards, and busy enough that reservations matter. Worth the friction of booking ahead.

I moved to this country around 4 years ago and have tried many many restaurants in the area. This is my favorite place out of all of them and is consistently beautiful, from it's menu presentation and wine selection. Above the amazing quality of food you have a wonderful set of staff who are warm kind and will speak with you about anything and everything. If you are alone they will talk with you for half an hour if you want. I'm the same time if you wish to be left alone they will leave you with the space you desire ... they are so attentive and aware. The owners are truly passionate about food and people and you can really tell by how happy the staff are and how well presented the food is. Now to get into the food which is my favorite part of coming here obviously. The menu is constantly changing and has fantastic dishes available anytime you wish to go. I am never disappointed by the options when I visit and I am always blown away by the quality and presentation of the dishes that I choose. I would recommend this place to anyone even the most complicated foodie I would highly suggest they visit this place. 10 out of 10 on every aspect of service food and atmosphere. Absolutely love this place.

Excellent service and food. Very kind waiter helped me with recommendations which were superb. I had delicious fresh oysters to start, then kite fish with rice and a beautiful fresh salad with fantastic dressing which they made specially for me I think as I mentioned I wanted something green! Wonderful evening. I hope to go back and leave space for dessert next time. Lots of French diners, I noticed, which is a good sign as they tend to appreciate good cuisine.

Fantastic find in Agadir. The staff and owner were attentive and welcoming. Husband had the Entrecôte, perfectly seasoned, which melted in his mouth, best steak he’s ever had. I had the roast duck leg, equally delicious but slightly overdone for my preference. Delicious fingerling potatoes. We had the chèvre salad as a starter, plenty for sharing and absolutely delicious. The place had constant clients that evening. We stayed on the patio as smokers were inside. Worth a visit.

They were completely full during my first visit, so we went back the other day with a reservation. The asmosphere is super, and the owner and his servers are all amazing. Food is nice, but would be great if its more seasoning (but maybe just for me and my partner🙉) Strongly recommended this place as this place worth every penny, and would definitely be a highlight of your visiting experience of Agadir. Reservation recommended if you have the time ☺️

Had absolutely the best meal here! Highly recommend! Not only was the dish wonderfully plated and the restaurant had a nice ambiance, but the flavor profile was rich and the various flavors complimented each other. I especially appreciated the black garlic with the scallops and fish. The amuse-bouche of the sardines, that are native to the region, was also very delicious and a nice touch. The entire staff was so friendly. The owner of the restaurant came out to personally ask me about how I was enjoying my meal. Later I talked to the owner and chef and they are absolutely the sweetest and friendliest people. We had a wonderful conversation about the culinary arts and I heard more about their journey to opening this restaurant. My waiter was also amazing, really listening to my interests and recommending a dish that he thought would be great for me. This was truly a special experience from the moment I walked into the door. Thank you so much to the entire team for your warm welcome, the incredible experience, and the sharing of your love and passion for the culinary arts. This is a meal I won’t forget and I’ve been to many a Michelin star restaurant that didn’t quite stand out in any way. I hope to be back again one day! All of the best! :)
