Ô Playa
Front de mer, lot N°5 plage d'Agadir، Agadir 80000, Morocco
The Agadir Mag take
Ô Playa sits in the cluster of seafront restaurants where the Corniche gets crowded. Every review here is glowing—which is unusual enough to note. Sofiane and Mehdi appear to be the draw; multiple visitors specifically named them, praised their attentiveness during Ramadan, and returned because of them. That matters.
The food splits between seafood (gratin, swordfish, calamari) and Moroccan standards (lamb tajine). Prices are genuinely moderate: half a bottle of white wine at 70MAD suggests mains hover around 100–150MAD. Bread and olives arrive with everything.
The real risk here is the formulaic praise. No one mentions a mediocre dish, a wait, a mistake—nothing that would anchor these reviews in reality. It reads less like genuine conflict-free service and more like a place where people come back because the staff make them feel seen, and the food doesn’t offend. That’s not nothing. But Agadir’s beachfront is thick with places that do exactly this.

We had a family dinner here earlier and we had a genuinely lovely experience. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly, the food was absolutely amazing and the general atmosphere was great. This was our second visit here in the last few years and we’ll definitely be back. I would highly recommend this place.
We have visited this restaurant 3 times during our stay and have enjoyed every visit. The last twice we were welcomed by Fatima, who is lovely, and served by Sofiane who was excellent. He was attentive, courteous and has a wonderful manner and smile! The food has been of a high standard. We tried seafood gratin, swordfish, crepes Suzette, calamari, trio of three fish and crème brûlée on the 2 occasions. The white wine (1/2 bottle) was very reasonable at 70MAD, compared to other places and the Vodka Mojito was good too. This has been our favourite place to eat and largely due to the wonderful waiters, who worked very hard especially during the Ramadan period. Many thanks Sofiane and Mehdi
We actually ate here at least three times during the week in Agadir. The waiting staff were very friendly and looking for a laugh - seems to be a theme in Agadir which is great! I thought the menu was good here, because you can eat cheaply or you can splash out. Traditional dishes, loads of seafood and some pasta dishes. Every meal came with the bread and olives to start with. Easy, go to place.
During our recent stay at the Allegro Hotel we dined out 3 times and that includes twice at O Playa. The location is just off the promenade and is one of 4 restaurants next to each other. We did check the others menus but settled on the O and it was sooooo good on both visits. So the location is great, staff are friendly and welcoming but the real winner here is the diner as the food is superb so Kudos to the chef's for making us very happy 😊 Rather than listing our dishes I attach some pictures but trust me they look better in real life ... all cooked to perfection and delicious. I highly recommend O Playa. Bon Apetit
I had an amazing dining experience at O Playa! I ordered the lamb tajine, and it was absolutely incredible: served in a steaming clay bowl, rich, warm, and bursting with deep, authentic flavors. My friend had the grilled fish, which was perfectly seasoned and so tasty. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu and the iced nougat, both delicious, but the iced nougat was a standout treat! Our drinks were the tropical juices Mango and Pineapple, and they were unbelievably fresh and refreshing. The atmosphere, food, and service made the entire experience unforgettable. The restaurant is right by the beach and boardwalk and the server was bursting with personality and charm. Highly recommend O Playa if you’re looking for delicious dishes and a wonderful vibe!
