Restaurant Rafiq
Boulevard Hassan II Immeuble Assoulil، Agadir 80000, Morocco
The Agadir Mag take
Rafiq on Boulevard Hassan II works best as a locals’ spot for weekday lunch, which is when the kitchen seems most reliable. The chicken tajine, meatball tagine with egg, and knafeh draw consistent praise—all under reasonable money. Orange juice is noted as genuinely good, which matters in Agadir.
The 4.5-star rating masks a real tension. Most visits land solidly: proper portions, brisk service, honest prices. But consistency wobbles. One return visit found the specials menu gone, beef skewers unavailable, and the replacement kabab suspiciously small. The staff will break routine for early requests—they did tacos before lunch service—which is generous, though it hints at an operation running looser than tighter.
It’s buzzing with locals, which typically means something. Just don’t bank on specific dishes showing up twice, and arrive knowing what you actually want.

Nostalgic carmel pudding! Superb orange juice! Remarkable hospitality. I had an early 11 a.m. flight, and although tacos are typically served only after lunch, the team graciously prepared them for me.
Tried the chicken tajine, Moroccan salad assortment and knafeh. Taste was spectacular. Great service. Knafeh was unique and tasted amazing. Good value for money.
I visited this restaurant based on positive reviews, and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic, I had a meat balls tagine with egg and a mint tea, both were top notch and at reasonable prices too. Fully recommend!
Overall pretty happy with the food quality and quantity and quality for the price you pay here. It kept coming in my search for top rated restaurant. I saw loads of locals coming over here for a full meal. Quite a buzzing and busy place. I 100% recommend a visit here if you are in the town.
This was my second visit. I originally gave 5 stars. I have had to downgrade to 3 this time. The menu is the day was not available which was the reason I came, but anyway I went for the kabab, and then was told they're out of beef skewers so they will substitute which again was disappointing. Anyway, what was even more disappointing was the size of the so called kababs, they're tiny. I wish you would give a decent portion and charge more if you have to.
