Freebirds Hostel

Having stayed in numerous luxury hotels, I can say with genuine surprise that Freebirds Hostel offered one of my most memorable hospitality experiences. A huge part of that was due to Mehdi. From the moment we arrived, his warm welcome and ever-present smile made us feel instantly at home. He was always available, offering thoughtful recommendations and assistance with a generosity that went far beyond duty. Mehdi is an absolute gentleman who embodies the true spirit of hospitality. Thank you for making our holiday not just good, but truly exceptional.

We had a wonderful stay at Freebirds Hostel in Tamraght with a group of friends (Niki's Group Trip). The new owner, Mehdi, is incredibly kind, welcoming, and truly cares about his guests. He went out of his way to make sure everything worked for us and was very flexible with breakfast and meal times, which we really appreciated. The hostel itself is very cute and has a lovely, relaxed vibe. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were consistently friendly, and everything was clean. While a few things could benefit from some renovation here and there (for example light bulbs or more modern bathrooms), it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The location is great and very affordable for the price. You can reach the beach in about 5 minutes on foot, and Taghazout is roughly a one-hour walk. There are also shops nearby, which is very convenient. One of the highlights is the cozy rooftop terrace — perfect for breakfast in the morning or getting together in the evening for a card game. The view over Tamraght is beautiful. There’s also a very charming café area right in front of the hostel. Overall, we felt very well taken care of and would absolutely recommend Freebirds Hostel. A warm, genuine place with a lot of heart.

Thank you for the beautiful time here. We stayed 4 days and it was a pleasure meeting Mehdi and his staff. You get a very delicious food 3 times a day and everyone is super polite. If you need help everyone in the hostel is giving you advices to have a good and secure time. The surf lessons are spectacular and the guide and surf instructors are professionals and know what they do in every moment. Thanks a lot for the experience it is a place to come back.

Freebrids in Tamraght, Morocco exceeded every expectation. It’s peaceful, cozy, and the perfect place to unwind after surfing or exploring. The surf teachers were amazing—fun, professional, and always encouraging. The day trips to Imsouane and Paradise Valley were breathtaking and full of unforgettable views and moments. I still dream about the meals and breakfasts; everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with love. The best part of my stay was definitely the maneger Mehdi: incredibly friendly, kind, and always ready to help. His hospitality truly sets this hostel apart. I left feeling rejuvenated and grateful.

Staying at Free Birds hostel in Tamraght was one of the most relaxing and uplifting experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease—calm, welcomed, and truly taken care of. The surfing instructors were exceptional, patient, and full of good energy, making every session unforgettable. The excursions to Imsouane and the Sand boarding dunes were beautifully organized and added so much value to the trip. And the food… absolutely delicious! Every breakfast felt like a warm hug to start the day. What truly made this place special, however, was the kindness and hospitality of the owner. His warmth instantly made the hostel feel like home.
