The Agadir Mag take

Roof House runs on genuine hospitality rather than hostel formula. Mohammed and Jamal—owner and chef—cook daily meals and run communal dinners that actually feel convivial rather than forced. The rooftop terrace delivers the views Taghazout promises, and the vibe skews toward people staying longer than a night, surfing the nearby breaks, or joining organised excursions. Rooms are clean with decent privacy (curtains matter in a dorm). Staff enthusiasm is consistent across reviews; whether that’s sustainable or reflects a honeymoon moment is hard to say from Google alone. The 4.6 rating from 184 reviews sits credibly—no dissenters mentioned, but no complaints either. Worth booking if communal meals and a working social hub matter to you; less compelling if you want anonymous anonymity. Price tier missing from your brief; it’s worth checking against comparable Taghazout hostels before committing.

Myself and 4 friends stayed here and had an incredible time in Taghazout, no doubt due to Mohammed and Jamal’s amazing hospitality! Any issues were sorted out asap including a direct taxi from the hostel to our accommodation in Marrakech. Can also recommend the family dinner prepared in house, was class as pictured :)

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The atmosphere was super relaxed, the staff were incredibly friendly and the place felt like home from the moment I arrived. Everything was clean, cozy, and well organized. I met so many great people and genuinely didn’t want to leave. I’ll definitely be back, highly recommended!

Really nice hostel, a no-brainer for when you are in Taghazout. The hostel Owner Jamal was very friendly and chef Ibrahim cooked delicious meals every day. BBQ night was specially tasty. The place is jointly run with volunteers: Laura and Lisa were super friendly and attentive. Rooms and bathrooms were cleaned on a daily basis. So all in all, good atmosphere, friendly people and delicious food! Recommended!

Incredible hostel! The roof top terrace is absolute gorgeous with fantastic views! The hostel really has it all with, communal dinners, surf lessons/hire, excursions around some beautiful areas in the local spots. The staff go above and beyond to make the experience great and the hostel is well decorated and clean. Truely amazing experience, and I can’t wait to come back.
