The Agadir Mag take

Surf & Travel Camp runs a tight operation. The instruction is genuinely good—reviews consistently praise patient, approachable teachers who adapt to beginner and intermediate surfers alike. The food is abundant and properly cooked, the rooms clean, and the roof terrace actually works as a social hub. Transport to breaks is included, which matters when conditions are poor.

That said, one serious review flags a staff member’s disrespectful behaviour towards female guests, including a pattern of uncomfortable conduct. The same review notes inflexible meal charging even when guests were ill. These aren’t boutique-hotel quibbles; they’re about duty of care. The overwhelming praise suggests these may be outliers, but they deserve weight.

For surfers wanting structure, community meals, and decent teaching, this delivers. The price tier remains unclear, which matters for judgment. Location in central Taghazout is convenient. Just know what you’re signing up for.

I spent 2 weeks here in 2023 (sorry for late review) and the hostel itself was comfortable and the food was great. The low rating is unfortunately due to the behaviour of Todo, who was very disrespectful to my friend who was also staying there. I found out that he had a pattern of flirting/hooking up with women guests and not being super respectful afterwards. Also wanted to note that they are very strict about the packages they sell - my friend and I had food poisoning (not from the hostel), and they charged us for meals while we were sick even though we did not eat.

I had an amazing time here! The surf instructors were not only friendly and approachable, but also incredibly patient and great at explaining everything, whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills. Their energy and sense of humor made every session on the water a blast. The food was insanely good- abundant, flavourful, and delicious after an intense day of surfing. You’ll never go hungry here! The rooms were comfortable and spotless, and the terrace was the perfect spot to relax and chill. The organisation was flawless. Everything was perfectly planned, so you never have to stress about a thing. All you need to do is show up, enjoy the waves, and embrace the true spirit of a vacation. Highly recommend for anyone looking to surf, relax, and recharge. I’ll definitely be back!

Had a great week at the camp. The surf instruction was very good and they were very accommodating. The food was also amazing and I met some great people. The roof terrace is a really nice place to chill with the other campmates and the hostel is right in the heart of Taghazout.

I stayed at the hostel for one week in September 2024 with four friends, and I can say it was an incredible experience. We had surf lessons in the morning/early afternoon, and in the late afternoon, we could choose to go on tours. In the evening, we gathered around the table with the other guests at the hostel to have dinner and tea. This close contact made us feel like a small family, which made the experience even better :) The fact that transportation to the beach was included in the package was great. There were times when we went to a beach where the waves weren’t great, and we only discovered this when we arrived. But we didn’t need to worry about anything, as they quickly took us to another beach where the waves were better. What also stood out was how they divided the group into more experienced surfers and beginners, ensuring everyone received the lessons they needed. This allowed each person to learn at their own pace and enjoy the experience to the fullest. Besides the fun tours we did in the afternoons, we all got the feeling of surfing (broken waves), even without previous experience. The instructors were always very attentive, joining us in the water and, at the beginning, giving that little "push" on the board to help us catch the wave at the right time. I can more than recommend the hostel :)
