The Agadir Mag take

Tidmi Wave reads less like a traditional hostel and more like a well-run guesthouse that happens to have dorm beds. Every review agrees on the essentials: it’s genuinely clean, genuinely quiet, and genuinely liked by the people running it. That consistency matters.

Location is the trade-off. You’re closer to the beach and the Anza neighbourhood’s organic shops and fish restaurants than to Agadir’s centre—a 50–70-dirham taxi ride away. For surfers or anyone wanting to avoid the medina hubbub, that’s a feature. For city explorers, it’s a drawback. The kitchen works properly, which counts for longer stays. One reviewer noted private rooms exist but weren’t available; worth confirming ahead if you need your own space.

The international mix skews genuine rather than forced. No red flags in fifty-two reviews, though Marcus Thompson’s honesty about rooming luck—“you can’t choose who you room with”—rings true everywhere. Worth the detour if beach proximity matters more than central convenience.

I had an amazing (short) stay! This place truly feels like home, comfortable, welcoming, and full of local charm in the small details. The kitchen is very functional and well-equipped, so you can easily cook. It is also very well located, just a few minutes from the coast. There’s a small shop nearby where you can find homemade honey and organic eggs. And of course, the hosts are absolutely lovely, very kind, welcoming, and always helpful. Highly recommended!

I had a nice stay at this place. It was clean and comfortable, with a friendly international atmosphere. The location is great, close to the beach, the market, and many places where you can enjoy fresh fish and traditional tagine. I felt welcome and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Lovely small hostel. No point in me adding pics as theirs are exactly as is. Closer to an Airbnb than a hostel. Just with a shared kitchen and multiple beds in one room. (They do offer private rooms) But these were not available when I stayed. The couple that run it are really friendly. It's a little further from the city centre than other places but is very close to the beach and surf if that's what you come for. If not they will offer good advice on what to do and where to go. Taxi to Agadir centre is 50 to 70 local currency. They can arrange for you or you can download local taxi apps. (Wink taxi worked great, but only found out about this on the last day) Every guest here was a pleasure. Bar one, but you can't choose who you room with. Great value and I would 100% stay here again.
