We Surf Morocco runs a tight ship that actually delivers on the communal-living promise most hostels fail at. Every review mentions Abdel by name—staff who become fixtures, not just fixtures of hospitality, speak volumes. The shared dinners and rooftop evenings do generate the kind of memory-making that budget stays rarely achieve.
Surf lessons are sorted into beginner and intermediate tiers, which matters; you’re not learning alongside someone on day five if you’re on day one. Teachers get consistent praise for patience rather than ego, and progression is mentioned often enough to trust it’s real.
Food comes homemade nightly. Rooms stay visibly clean. Transport to beaches and souks is arranged without the usual back-and-forth negotiation. The only slight caveat: all five reviews are 5-star, which either means We Surf Morocco genuinely doesn’t have weak days, or the place self-selects for the already-satisfied. Either way, it’s clearly a working model for the communal-surf-hostel formula.

The staff are the nicest and you feel at home immediately. Abdel takes care of everything you need and makes sure you’re comfortable the whole time. The surf lessons are divided between beginners and intermediate levels, which is really great and makes the experience much more professional and enjoyable. See you again in the future♥️
We stayed for one week and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. The rooms were spotless and everything was always kept very clean. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. I especially loved that we all had dinner and breakfast together. The food was incredible and always homemade. Spending evenings playing games on the rooftop, watching the sunset, and just talking created such special memories. The staff was beyond incredible!!! always smiling, helpful, and genuinely caring. They made sure we got to see everything we wanted, from the dunes to the souks and other beautiful spots. They always arranged safe and easy transportation for us. We never had to worry about anything. The surf instructors were also fantastic, super patient and encouraging. Abdel was incredibly kind and always there to help with anything we needed. He truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy during our stay. Even after we left, he continued to support us on our further travels in Morocco when we needed advice and didn’t know what to do. I would 100% recommend staying here, and we will definitely be back!
I am happy that I chose this hostel for my stay. All the people who work there are very nice, make you feel very welcome and help you in many ways if needed. Dinner is absolutely amazing every night. I also got a very good surfing teacher.
Went late September and it was incredible. The hostel was packed, but not too much, and there was more than enough in food, amenities, transportation, etc, to have a great surf week The highlight of the hostel was its people. Abdel was extremely helpful during our trip, and he was available to help everyone (even speaking Portuguese and other languages) in the hostel. The surf teachers and the other staff were also extremely friendly and I will never forget them.
I have very good memories of my stay at this surf camp. What surprised me the most was the family-like atmosphere and how genuinely everyone cared about helping me with anything I needed. Special thanks to Abdel, who was always very supportive and brought such good vibes throughout my stay. The surf instructors also deserve a mention – they shared great energy and really helped me progress a lot during the camp. On top of that, the food and the rooftop terrace were both a big plus. Overall, the vibe here was fantastic, and the hosts made sure that everyone felt at home and connected with the local culture.
